Lab results

Tested by an independent lab

No arsenic, no PCP (a wood preservative) and none of the 70 pesticides tested for.

No E. coli, Salmonella or coliform bacteria.

Made in an ISO 9001 certified factory, a standard for consistent quality.

Natural grain

Same size every time. A different pattern on every plate.

Each size comes from the same mould, so every 8 × 8 plate is 8 × 8. The colour, from cream to warm tan, and the grain come from the leaf, so no two plates look alike.

Collected

Areca trees drop their leaves several times a year. Farmers pick up the fallen ones, so no tree is cut.

Cleaned and dried

Washed in water, then dried to keep mould away.

Questions we're asked most

How do I order?

Send us the pieces, quantities and date by form or WhatsApp. We reply with a price and a delivery date.

Why aren't prices on the website?

Prices depend on the pieces, quantities and date, so we quote every order.

Are they safe for food?

SGS, an independent lab, found no arsenic, no PCP, none of 70 pesticides and no harmful bacteria. We'll send the reports on request.

Will they hold laksa, curry or gravy?

Yes. We test every size with hot gravy, and every plate and bowl holds it without leaking.

Can I microwave them?

Yes, in short bursts. They passed an SGS test of five one-minute rounds with oily food. Don't use them in the oven.

How do I stop mould?

Keep cartons dry, off the floor and away from sinks and aircon drip. Keep pieces wrapped until use, and use older stock first.
